The SSP Pumps brand has a long and distinguished history, traced back to the Howard Pump Company. Founded in Eastbourne, the company developed the rotary lobe pump concept, launching the first product on to the market during the post war years of the 1940’s.

In 1958 ex-employees of the Howard Pump Company founded Stainless Steel Pumps Ltd, developing their own rotary lobe pump designs. When materials began to be used other than stainless steel the name of the company was changed to SSP Pumps Ltd. In 1987 SSP Pumps Ltd was acquired by the Alfa Laval organisation.

SSP Pumps still offers the broadest range of rotary lobe pumps available in the world today.

Series L

SSP have recently introduced new for 2008 the Series L Stainless Steel Rotary Lobe pump. This pump offers a cost effective solution to your pumping needs. The Series L pump range has six pump head displacements ranging from 0.17 litres/rev to 0.82 litres/rev.

The Series L pump offers high efficiency transfer of low, medium and high viscosity pumped media. This important aspect of performance is achieved by maintaining high accuracy and repeatability of component part manufacture, thereby maximising shaft rigidity and minimising the effects of thermal expansion within the pump gearbox. This combination allows the optimum pump head geometry to be achieved which, in turn maximises volumetric efficiency.

Series S

SSP Series S stainless steel rotary lobe pumps operate at the heart of process industries worldwide. Series S pumps fulfill a wide range of application requirements throughout Chemical, Food, Pharmaceutical and other related industries. Handling from low to high viscosity pumped media, the characteristic smooth, low shear pumping action is ideal for delicate media and where organic solids in suspension, creams, froths, gels, emulsions and mixtures are to be pumped.

Series S pumps are suitable for CIP (Cleaning In Place) and conform to USA 3A Sanitary Standard

Series X

SSP brand Series X stainless steel rotary lobe pumps, provide the ultimate in clean pumping. Series X pumps complement the SSP Series S pumps, which are used throughout industrial and clean processes worldwide.

Series X pumps are EHEDG accredited (European Hygienic Equipment Design Group) for the highest level of cleanability. Handling from low to high viscosity pumped media the characteristic smooth, low shear pumping action is ideal for gentle transfer of delicate and sensitive media.

Series X pumps are suitable for CIP (Cleaning In Place) and SIP (Sterilisation In Place) and conform to USA 3A Sanitary Standard.

Series D
